About us

Frankenstein is a startup based in Manila. Our mission is to make Filipino businesses competitive on the global stage. We believe AI gives us a once-in-a-generation chance to do it: the kind of tools that help the world's best companies run well are finally within reach of local businesses.

We build Ensemble, an AI-native operations platform that replaces scattered spreadsheets, paperwork and manual follow-ups with one connected system. Our AI takes on the routine work so people can focus on the decisions that matter. We're starting in food and beverage, and we're already talking with retailers and other growing businesses.

About the role

As one of our first product hires, you'll spend your days with the people who run Filipino businesses, understand what holds them back, and help shape the product that fixes it.

Startups can sound intimidating. You won't be figuring it out alone. We'll give you clear goals, a framework to work within, and a mentor working alongside you, and we'll adjust them together as you grow. Day to day, you'll own your work and bring in the team when it matters. Because we're a young startup, what you do will shape the product, and the company, from day one.

What you'll do

  • Talk to customers often. Meet business owners, managers and frontline staff, at our clients and at potential customers, from restaurant and café chains to retailers and beyond. Learn what they're really trying to get done.
  • Turn what you hear into product. Map how the work really happens and write the user journeys and specs our engineers and AI coding agents build from. Along the way, use AI to build quick prototypes and mock-ups so you can test ideas and iterate fast. We'll show you how.
  • Solve problems for clients. Test new releases with client teams. When something isn't working, whether it's a process or a technical issue, dig in and see it through until their experience is better.
  • Look ahead. Study our competitors and the new AI products coming from the world's biggest tech companies. Form a view on how they could enter our market, and propose how Ensemble should evolve to stay ahead.

Who you are

We care more about how you think than what's on your transcript.

  • Great with people from every walk of life. You're as comfortable with a business owner as with a barista or warehouse crew, in English, Filipino, Taglish or your home language. You love hearing people's stories and writing them down.
  • An empathetic problem-solver. You ask why before what. You notice bad experiences everywhere and can't leave a problem alone until someone's day gets better.
  • High agency. Give you a goal and a framework, and you'll figure out the rest. You take ownership, work independently, and know when to ask for help.
  • Curious and quick to learn. You can dive into an unfamiliar industry and become the expert in the room. Messy, unclear problems energize you rather than scare you.
  • Excited about AI and the future. You already use AI in your everyday life, enjoy big-picture ideas, and love imagining where products could go. You take feedback well and want to grow fast.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in any field, with 0–3 years of work experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Filipino. You write clearly and simply.
  • Willing to report onsite in Makati City, Metro Manila, and to visit clients around Metro Manila.
  • Bonus, not required: you've built something with AI tools, done interview-based research (thesis, org work or case competitions), interned at a startup, or speak another Philippine language fluently, such as Bisaya, Ilocano or Hiligaynon.

What you'll get

  • Work that matters. Help Filipino businesses compete with the best in the world.
  • Fast growth. One-on-one mentorship from our founders, real ownership early, and a role that grows as the company grows.
  • A front-row seat to AI. Work hands-on with the newest AI tools and learn how many different industries actually run.
  • AI tools on us. A paid Claude or Codex subscription for your work.
  • Pay and benefits: PHP 65,000 monthly salary, plus 13th month pay, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contributions, and service incentive leave. As a bonus, we pay for your Claude or Codex subscription.
